  • 1 Baking Sheet (lined with parchment paper) Necessary for drying the crystals.
  • 1 Mixing Bowl For mixing sea salt and nail polish.
  • 1 spoon Spoon (for mixing) To combine the sea salt and nail polish.
  • 1 Airtight Container (for storage) To store finished crystals.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Set up your baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Gather all your materials.

Mixing

  • In a mixing bowl, pour in the desired amount of sea salt.
  • Begin adding drops of nail polish, mixing with a spoon.
  • Aim for a balance where the salt is well-coated but not soggy.

Spreading and Baking

  • Once mixed, evenly spread the colored sea salt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Preheat your oven to a low temperature (around 200°F/93°C).
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and let it bake for 15-20 minutes.
  • Keep an eye on it; scents from the polish may start to emerge, so ensure good ventilation.

Cooling and Storing

  • After baking, remove the sheet from the oven and let it cool completely.
  • Once cooled, transfer your sea salt crystals to an airtight container for storage.

Notes

Use different colors for a gradient effect, add essential oils for fragrance, and experiment with different grain sizes of salt.
