Instructions
Preparation
- Set up your baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Gather all your materials.
Mixing
- In a mixing bowl, pour in the desired amount of sea salt.
- Begin adding drops of nail polish, mixing with a spoon.
- Aim for a balance where the salt is well-coated but not soggy.
Spreading and Baking
- Once mixed, evenly spread the colored sea salt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Preheat your oven to a low temperature (around 200°F/93°C).
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and let it bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Keep an eye on it; scents from the polish may start to emerge, so ensure good ventilation.
Cooling and Storing
- After baking, remove the sheet from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, transfer your sea salt crystals to an airtight container for storage.
Notes
Use different colors for a gradient effect, add essential oils for fragrance, and experiment with different grain sizes of salt.
